I remember my hand tool that is essentially the same as pictured was about $300 about 30 years ago. Yes hydraulic are much more.I didn't mention the crimp tool as I thought that was rather cheap given the 2K to 8K cost of a hydraulic crimper. The battery thing is funny. Mine is showing Tuesday (2-day) delivery.

But if you don't know what you are getting into and purchase these thinking they are pretty cheap but only intend to use just a few for just a one time project you probably realize how much less some other method costs when you need to purchase a tool you will only use once for say $400. Or you attempt to crimp them with something you already have but isn't exactly what these are listed with, or even think you will smash them with a big hammer to make the crimp and that will be "good enough".
Being available on Amazon possibly makes this scenario easier to happen?
