Crimper for ground wire ”help”

I didn't mention the crimp tool as I thought that was rather cheap given the 2K to 8K cost of a hydraulic crimper. The battery thing is funny. Mine is showing Tuesday (2-day) delivery.

I remember my hand tool that is essentially the same as pictured was about $300 about 30 years ago. Yes hydraulic are much more.

But if you don't know what you are getting into and purchase these thinking they are pretty cheap but only intend to use just a few for just a one time project you probably realize how much less some other method costs when you need to purchase a tool you will only use once for say $400. Or you attempt to crimp them with something you already have but isn't exactly what these are listed with, or even think you will smash them with a big hammer to make the crimp and that will be "good enough".

Being available on Amazon possibly makes this scenario easier to happen?

I happened to be doing my taxes yesterday and saw my TBM-5S (the slightly smaller version of the one I posted). Cost me $550 in 2012. Can get it today for $820 and it would crimp those C-taps.
