This is more of a thought why these days might be a good idea to use 14/4 Romax for a shared neutral circuit one white and one gray
 
If the circuits are on a GFCI and/or AFCI breaker, you will either need separate neutrals or a 2 pole breaker. This relates to your other thread. It is a design decision.
 
I'm in favor of these cables (12-2-2) for AFCI/GFCI home runs especially for things like the kitchen where you'll need multiple 20 amp circuits.
 
Good point GFI could be used in the kitchens and arc fault in BRANCH circuits (great idea)
I’m just surprised by now. That share neutral is not in the code book to make it not be used for safety issues.(because I’ve open neutral.)

14-2-2 instead of 14-4 (Infinity mentioned 12-2-2, which would be the 20 amp version)

14-4 would almost certainly be black, white, red and BLUE

14-2-2 is black, white, red, and WHITE w/ red tracer
