The funny thing about that is every picture of Al he is using the shovel, every picture of Chris he is leaning on the shovel.
680.26(C)(3)(a.) Conductors shall be bonded to each other at all points of crossing. Connections shall be made as required by 680.26(D)
(b.) The equipotential bonding grid shall be arranged in a 12in by 12in network of conductors...
.
The 12" copper grid requirement was done away with by a Judge. Way to costly.
Butch, would you have a link or maybe steer me in a search direction?
In my decktop at home. Monday night is as soon as I can get to it. Cost not mentioned in the ruling but you get the idea. Copper mat replace by #8 ring....yada, yada, yada as mentioned in the thread.
What I have is the wording of the 2008 NEC. It was added as an adendum to the 2005 NEC by some Florida Judge.
Are you under the '05 or the '08?I got a steel bond inspection and a #8 is sticking out under the coping on all four sides. There are 2 pieces of steel just under the coping that run around the entire perimeter. Did I miss something?
I guess I should have read the title of the thread,..
I found this ,..Not sure what cavie has ...

The grid, not the four point bonding, seems to be required to start where your belly button touches the pool wall when you're in the water.
Sorry to contribute to that.I'm getting a head ache.
Sorry to contribute to that.
Okay, so under the '05, the requirement is more restrictive than the '08, looking closer. The '05 requires a gridwork be constructed, whereas the '08 allows a single conductor.
So, headache's gone, right?
