There still has to be a real time clock crystal or moderately accurate time base generator in the local device with battery back-up. The standard / daylight information comes from Colorado, probably is 1 bit of information in the data stream. Clock update is only done at certain times.

Or, I just provide a basic time clock that has very easy to follow directions for resetting its time just like any homeowner time clock.

I love technology, this is not an application for it though.

BTW, I have those clocks in my home and have installed tower clock controlers that use those signals. I am not unaware of these things. :)

I do want to thank you all again for the suggestions.

I have programmed and installed PLCs and I know they could be used for this for sure.

That is just not the interface I think will work for these folks, I want to use something a typical homeowner would deal with. :)
