That is a good guess and going from the photos alone I can see why you said that.

But no, these are all feeders.

The riser leaving the meter socket is a feed leaving the meter and heading to a panel.

Looks like a new install so 110.15 might be an issue. but I'm guessing this is not what your looking for.

2004 or so, but even then IMO we may have issues with 110.9 / 110.10 2002.

But you are right, that is not the most glaring violation IMO.

The riser wires look like they are coming from the disco thru the meter and loops thru the panel on the right . Is that correct ? I am not saying that is a violation yet but is that what I see.

Whats up with the grounded conductor in the top lug of the meter base? 300.3(B)?

BINGO!

That was the one I had in mind, there are others.

BTW, this was inspected, passed and energized.

Yes.

The panel on the right and the switchgear on the left where original.

The disconnect, meter socket and riser where added.

The thing that jumped out at me was the use of "chase" or "bushed" nipples with no locknut to bite into the enclosure for bonding purposes. I've always understood that a chase nipple was not an accepted bonding method.

Improper use of chase nipples???

I am not sure where I stand on that one. Code / listing wise there may be an issue. Ryan brought something up about it before. From a practical view I see no issue, there is a copper EGC and all we have are feeders.

Of course the most of the fittings should have been WP.

Welcome to the forum.

You may well be correct, in this case there is a copper EGC bonding it all.
