I've done a lot of drywall repair over the years, (even on big commercial jobs when there are plenty of tapers/mudders around I usually just get a little mud from them and do it myself) is not that difficult if you ask me. If you feel confident in your skill and the customer wants to pay you to do it, I say go for it.

I repair sheet rock if they ask. And I charge a bit more for it. But I tell them that I do up to the 1st coat of spackle then its all them... You would be surprise hom many "Oh dont worry Ill patch the holes" Or Ill get somone. Ocasionally they say "the painter said he will do it." I think the painter is getting on the Make more money bandwagon.

I have to ask the obvious question....you did plumbing work for the HO under an HO pulled permit. Is that legal where you live? In SC, you would be breaking the law because of not having plumbing licenses. You also would be breaking the law for acting as a builder...unless you are one.
I admit it. I cheated on the plumbing. But, I did it well, and inspected properly, and there were zero issues with anything; all inspections passed on the first call.

In fact, at the final inspection, the inspector told us that, in his approx 25 years of inspecting, we were the first contractor he's ever had "ace" on the first go 'round.

We're licensed for home (HIC) and commercial (CIC) improvement as well as electrical. I can't build a free-standing house. That required a building (BLD) license.

Over the yearsI have transformed from the worlds worst to a halfway decent spackler due to my due dilligence in learning the trade. It relieved major customer stress from me. I tell them I will do the first 2 coats while on the job and usually the painter will do a polish coat where he needs to. It doesnt take that long and it makes the customer VERY happy. My name is Quogue and I am a spackler!! I like Tile work and hardwood floors too.

Always in the contract "All drywall patching and painting to be done by others" Would you hire a drywaller to do electrical work?

I have Masters licenses in 4 trades....

The HO is responsible/liable for code compliance when they pull a permit here.
