I am looking to install 1/2"EMT as a sleeve on a block wall to protect NM cable.
The walls are furred with 3/4" high wood strips and I am unable to connect the EMT to the metallic boxes because the k.o and fitting is too close to the front edge and won't allow the drywall to meet the furring.
I just planned on putting a plastic bushing on the end and leaving a 1" gap between the emt and the box.
My question is: Does the emt need to be bonded if it's concealed behind the drywall?
I recall sections not requiring bonding when used as sleeves but can't locate it in the book.
The emt will be 80" long and the opposite end will protrude 3 inches above the rafters in an unfinished attic area.
Thanks.
