I have one. Actually two. I have the one for the iPhone 5 and the newest one. I don't use the IPhone 5 camera anymore.
It is a very good IR camera. It suits my needs. I have a level 1 certification from ITC.

It doesn't have the resolution of the larger cameras, but for a camera that fits in your pocket it can give you a pretty good shot. You can use the Flir Tools software to manipulate the files and generate reports.

It take a standard photo with the IR photo. It also has the MX technology that adds the visible detail to the IR photo.

The camera that you have with you is better than the one that isn't with you and at the shop.

For $250 you can't go wrong. I would recommend this to anyone.

amazon said it'll be here tomorrow.

*poor impulse control*

maybe someday i'll do electrical work again and it'll come in handy.
in the meantime, it'll let me know where i need to foam walls in my
house, and where the insulation in the ceiling is amiss.

The only issue I had was the camera won't plug into your phone or iPad if it has a case. When plugged in it is tight to the phone.

I modified my case so the end of the phone is exposed and it plugs in just fine.

It works good finding insulation problems around the house.
I helped a GC find wet carpet and drywall after a pipe broke above the ceiling on a job.

Works well for the money

Works well for the money

Its small and fits in your pocket.

resolution could be better.... batttery life could be better..

one drawback.. you phone will not ring(take calls) while the camera is attached.

I have found it to be very handy ( cool toy to show HVAC guys)

Learning how to manipulate photos and files(software) was difficult for me.

That is awesome. Take my money!

they did, and it is. showed up on porch half an hour ago.

showed spouse how it worked. her inner frugalator was appalled
at all those electrons dispersed as heat from stuff all over the house.

what is cool is that if you look at the shots you make with the viewer
in the app, swiping a finger down lets you look at the jpeg under the
scan. it's the same temp outside today as inside, so studs in walls don't
show up distinctly, not enough delta.

rafters however, would, if the attic weren't R-30 batts laid crosswise to
each other. there is a small hole in the bedroom where a batt got moved,
it seems. a square about 1' x 1'.

seems to be moisture along the edge of the wall near the shower
under the tile in the hall bathroom. crap.

ignorance was bliss.
