Please forgive my ignorance for asking this question....

Do the devices that are UL listed that use the EGC as a CCC have provisions to attach the grounded (neutral) conductor so that the EGC will no longer be utilized as a CCC?

If they do not what is the purpose of 404.2(C)? You can plan your installation in conformance with the section but if the device has no terminal to accept the grounded conductor what is the purpose?

The do not have that provision at this time. UL will modify the product standard to prohibit the use of the EGC as the neutral sometime this year. UL told the code making panel that they would not change the standard until the code was changed to require the grounded conductor at each switch box.
