what is the bending radius of 500? Can you stab through the back of a 4" deep box?

SuperiorMillwork002.jpg

Its the same 6"?6"?36" wireway as you have seen me post before. Same application, 4" entries and four 500's.

PVC mast is a no-no here. I think it should be a no-no everywhere.
In the Texas heat that thing will come down

WOW, no kidding! Since it is rated for 75?C (167?F), it must really get hot in Texas to melt PVC.

On the other hand, if the service drop is supported on something other than the service mast, why not permit PVC to be used? The NEC doesn't prohibit its use, why should the local city or town? :)

I made that mistake once, it can be expensive. Luckly it got caught before it cost to much.

My acrobat reader is giving my heck right now, but it appears your right, looking at FPL specs. Let me shut down and reboot to post that spec and the riser specs.

Everything's bigger in Texas, even the tall tales.:D

If you divided Alaska into two states, Texas would be the 3rd largest state. How's that for big?

It can get 130 deg or so up against a wall or on a roof. Ok, it may not come down, but it will sag and warp in a couple of years.
Have you ever run exposed PVC horizontally along a wall? Even if you strapped every 5' it will look like a velvet rope at a theater.

Is this a setup?

No way is this for real.

Well, it is for real. It was inspected today and released for a Thursday POCO connection. Light the fuse.

And if you thought it looked bad in the first pics, check the added strap. FWIW, the business owner is very happy. He doesn't care what it looks like, just wants juice.
