Those are two out of three. In my world I also have source conduction, or fault loop as a 3rd category in that both grounding and bonding alone by themselves may not open a breaker.

The combined Z of the fault loop must open a breaker before any organic harm can take place to the human body.

Yes, parellel paths lower the resisitve component be they on the hot, ground or both sides. But in any case its best to assume that no parellel paths exist (beyond intentionally paralleled conductors) to take worse case into account.
