Are you talking trading haircuts for a job? That brings up many questions, how much hair do you have? Is your barber any good? How many haircuts for how much work? :D

would you or would you not for a job

If I was going for a new job with people that did not already know me I would be clean cut, clean shaven, clean clothes appropriate for the position I am applying.

It is not just a clich?' it is true, you only make a first impression once.

I say yes but I wear my hair short nowadays anyway. Way back when I was a long hair I did end up cutting it for a job interview. I shave everyday but Sunday pretty much.

Let's be real. Most people would cut their hair for a job. Lord knows who would hire this dude. No haircut will help him.

A topic I have strong feelings about, like Bob said you only make first impressions once, for either an interview or meeting customers. i have worked with guys with long hair and tats all over, great worker, very smart, but I have had customers say negative things about the lack of professional apperance. If I were hiring 1 person and had 2 of equal experience and skills interview the appearance would be the tie breaker, most professional gets the job, maybe even the most professional would get it with less experience and skills.

i voted yes; however since i am bald and and it takes me a month to grow even a peach fuzz on my face, i guess its kind of a moot point for me. first impressions count, i would do it if i had an interview.

Many of the sites where we work require all jewelery to be removed. Even a wedding ring. Safety is cited as the issue.
Multiple body piercings would not enhance an applicant's prospects in my office.
