Just the drive in to get my work orders. In Greenville and the traffic is killer! I drive 17 miles and the boss always gives me work orders for the plant that's 4 miles from home! Where it's a slow country ride! I wish I could telecommute!

Greenville, NC?

It's not that big, how could it be too bad? How about Va. Beach in 1990. 12 miles from my home to the shop. At 6:00 AM, I make it in 20 minutes. At 5:30 in the evening, it took over an hour. I would hate to see what it's like now.

Worse, I used to drive Norfolk to Va. Beach, about 12 miles, it took 35-40 mins. Now I drive 35 miles from Norfolk to Suffolk about 45-50 mins and 15 of that is getting through the Downtown Tunnel.

I DO NOT miss that.

Va. Beach was GREAT in the 60's and early 70's.

I remember Pembroke mall being built, the "toll road" (yes, I know it's free now), rumors of turning some farm land into Green Run, Va. Beach BLVD being just 2 lanes each way with a feeder road on each side, etc. etc.

It's a great place to be from, lol.
