Re: Journeymen playing E.C.

Bob, you need to learn to appreciate the incompetent the same as we do. At one time I held myself in high regard because I thought I knew what I was doing. Then I learned a valuable lesson, idiots can make you more money than smart people. ( True Story) About 18 years I worked for a company that was contracting at a large corporation. I was given a certain job assignment and after looking over the drawings I found many flaws. I went running off to the boss expecting the old pat on the back. Instead of praise I was told to keep my mouth shut and the facts of life were explained to me. The people at the office had already spotted the mistakes and decided to proceed. These drawings were furnished by the corporation's engineers and so we would get paid to do the installation, we would get paid to take everything down and we would get paid to do it right, sooner or later. See a big mouthed know it all like me could have turned at 6 month job into a 2 month job had I not been warned. Since that time I have developed a deep admiration for the incompetent, they keep the world going. If not for the inept everything would get finished and we would all be out of a job. Remember the growler never worked but it was made in America.

Is anyone really that good at their job, or as good as they think they are? Take a look at NASA and all the millions we spend on a ship they cant even get off the ground.
