DSC makes the Impassa KIT45714 which sells for about $220 and comes with 3 wireless contacts, a wireless motion detector, transformer and an RJ-31X if you decide to connect to a telephone line for monitoring. EZ to program from the unit. All you need to do is hang it on the wall and plug in the transformer. All the wireless devices can auto enroll into the system. (you'll need to do a little reading) My last installation took 2 hours.
No need for monitoring.

Is that the series jack that allows the equipment to seize the line and therefore must be connected upstream of all other phone devices on that line?
