Thanks for the reply. Somehow I feel relieved. Thought maybe they lost the application, or misplaced it, anything. I'm going to be a very happy person when it does come.

I'm probably going to be doing Ben Shedlock's class for prep. I have 19 years in the trade and I'm just finishing up my 16th class at Vo-Tech so i'm as ready as I'll ever be.

I just spoke to Trudy at the NJ Electrical Board today and she said that they were mailing letters out today, so we should receive them this week.
Yea!!:)

Thanks for the update. That's awesome news! Trudy is the lady I gave my paperwork to in person the day after the Jets knocked off the Patriots in Foxborough. But that's another story that I don't want to go into. Now I'm pumped up again.

To be honest, I do not know exactly where they meet...but all paperwork goes through Trenton.

Another NJ question, did they adopt the 2008 or when are they going to get to it.

As of today, NJ in on the '05.

When we adopt the '08....who knows ???
Usually sometime between April and June.

....and the amendments?
Drafts seem to have been made up...but I have not seen a "signed" version yet.

I'll dig up the proposals......
Please stand by :D

DUG Up:
Proposed Amendments: N.J.A.C. 5:23-2.18C, 3.16{26k}

There is another thread that I cannot seem to locate at this time containing links to similar threads [NJ & 2008 NEC]

6. NEC/2008, Article 210.12 ? Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters (AFCI): The NEC/2008 expands the areas where AFCIs would be required. They would be required everywhere except kitchens, bathrooms, and garages. The old arguments -- that there are not many manufacturers, that AFCI are not generally available, and that they increase cost without a concomitant increase in safety -- are obsolete. AFCI are available and no longer add to the overall cost of the house, so this section of NEC/2008 is retained.

:rolleyes:
