What is the max pulling tension for communications cables, and where is it stated?
TIA
TIA
I have heard 25 lbs., and I think manufacturers list it in the cut sheet of the cable, which is typically not included in the box.
And it is my understanding that the permitted pulling force in that document does not go up as you add cables. It is 25 pounds max for one cable and does not go up as you add cables to the pull. That is the document does not permit a pulling force of 250 pounds for a bundle of 10 cables.Take a look in ANSI/TIA/EIA 568 B ....it is 25 lbs.
