Always look under the range:
.........Is there a section of 314 that would cover this installation?
Yes.
Yes, there are a couple of violations in 314.
Oh, you want me to list them!
Well then, 314.25 and 314.21.
This was caught on a final inspection. I always remove the drawer so I can also check the tip clip installation which was also missing.
How so? There was no faceplate. :grin:480, [406.5] comes to mind also. rbj
Excuse my ignorance, but what is a 'tip clip installation ', or do you mean tip as fall over?

I must be a combo installer. I always install the anti-tip bracket if it's not already done, since I'm "installing" the range. Are you a combo inspector?

The two minutes it takes is worth knowing it might protect a kid from burns.

Here we often see the range and frig on our trim out because builder gets package deals for the frig, range, built in micro, dish washer,pig.http://www.geappliances.com/search/fast/infobase/10000138.htm
I cannot remember ever doing a dwelling unit job where the range was in place before final inspection so you would not have to remove the drawer.
........ As for the clip i am not sure the EC is licensed to install it.
