480sparky said:Depends on how well the ceiling is framed. If it's within 1/4", I'd just use a tape measure.
Otherwise, I lay it all out on the floor and use a Stanley FatMax plumb bob to shoot straight up.

I use chalk boxes all the time spray with clear enamel on floor then the laser takes it from there. White chalk on cedar.Minuteman said:I would bet that you still use a chalk box for lay out.
