If you have manual transfer equipment then the loads will be selected by the end user as you would with an inlet and a breaker interlock.

So far it's been established that it's likely permissible due to the ATS being capable of operation as a manual transfer switch.

So far it's been established that it's likely permissible due to the ATS being capable of operation as a manual transfer switch.

I will only say it is much easier to use an ATS as a MTS then it is to rig up some actuators, backup control power supply, and controls to be able to use a MTS as an ATS.

Whether either can be done in compliance with codes....
