Alternating threads?

Yes, we need a separate thread on alternating receptacles, and an alternating thread on separate receptacles. Neither should be construed as a substitute for threads on receptacles for alternating current and, please, everyone feel free discuss you alternate views on any of this. So the thread's current consensus is that alternating receptacles are good yes?

To be direct: yes.

But actually, no. I think it's silly.

You likely aren't in North Dakota but if you were 3 SABC are required and you must alternate circuits for counter top receptacles, no matter the size of the dwelling. 24.1-06-02-10.4

I thought a ND guy would chime in on this. The only state I know of that actually requires this.

We don't alternate but I have seen times where owners keep all their small appliances in one corner of the kitchen. Not a problem unless you use them all at the same time.
