Good to know you are not attracted to me.

repelled....attracted...what am i a magnet?

I personally find Mr. Haskins a breath of fresh air...his posts are humorous, and many time, informative. He is actually a knowledgeable contractor, who doesn't take things super serious...but having had conversations with Mr. Haskins, I can honestly say, that in my opinion, he gets it more than most...he provokes thought, sometimes, and causes me to laugh, most times...our industry is quite serious, which makes most of us quite boring...lighten up people...and as has been written:

Daedalus was imprisoned in the Labyrinth along with his son Icarus. Daedalus constructed a pair of wings from wax and feathers for he and his son so they could escape the Labyrinth (I will not go into detail as to why Daedalus was imprisoned in the Labyrinth as this is a family oriented forum).

Daedalus told Icarus not to fly too close to the sun because his wings would melt, but as we all know Icarus did not listen.

Moral of the story: Listen to emahler and you won't go wrong.

And he and his multiple personalities have not been banned, as far as I know I have never banned one his forum names, but with 30 names it's hard to say.

Not once in this thread have I suggested banning him.

My issue is honesty and in my personal opinion posting under multiple user names is misleading and sleazy. I just wanted to hear his explanation for it.

I also have a second user name, RI Journeyman. I have it so I can see the forum as a non-moderator when I need to. I do not post using that name.

i didn't say anything about banning....

I would say get two. A nice one that she picks out maybe with diamonds if thats her/your thing and get a plain one too, cause they get all scratched up at work and it wont look like it did when you first got it

My suggestion: leave the wedding band at home. The one time you forget to take it off may be the time you lose a finger or worse.

I've been married 27 years, and never worn a wedding band at work (I worked as a firefighter as well for 2 years). Talking about my great marriage worked as well (or better) then a ring.

Then again, I remember my wife working with me on a job and a girl in the office flirting with me when the wife was in another room. (oh yeah, that was 25 years and a number of pounds ago)

Get inked...nothing shows commitment like ink....make sure the guy spells the name correctly

My Tattoo artist says that the quickest way to end a relationship is to get your partner's name tattooed on your body.
By far the most cover-up work they do is to cover a name.

Whenever someone comes in asking for it he usually asks the guy "What did you do?" Most answers are "you don't want to know"

So I am getting married in October and I was wondering what do you guys prefer for a ring? Of course I am not going to wear it during work but I was just curious what the best ring for a electrican would be if it did indeed matter. I have a master electrican telling me that 14k Gold is best. Now I could be mistaken but isn't gold a very good conductor?
Has anyone informed you that marriage is the leading cause of divorce!

I knew a guy who played in a wedding band. It was good sidework from his regular job. ;) :D

Here you go talking about sidework again, and in the Grounding vs. Bonding forum of all places! What was the pricing structure of his band? Did they undercut the full time band competition and make it hard for them to support their families? Did they use inferior dollar store cables instead of the correct Monster brand cables with 5 shields and 24 k gold plating on the ends? I bet guitar strings weren't tuned quite right, drum sets looked lopsided, and the accordion player didn't use the proper stroke for the song. What a shame, look at what they're doing to this country.

I think there has been some good information offered to the OP as well as some pretty good humor, so at this point, it's time to close this thread. :)

Thanks for everybody's contribution(s).

Roger
