On the more serious note! I have the breaker locks, padlocks and keys, hasp, tags and even one of those cable locking reels that let you fish through and make mutiple lockouts with one device!! I have considered making my own laminated tags with my photo and contact info to hang with the regular tags.?? Thanks for the thread Ken!!:smile:

Something like these?

Ice works in Florida where the small Mom and Pop shops are trying to got on board.

It's a good thing. It takes time, both getting in the habit and the fact that it takes time from the job, going through the procedures.

Getting lit up in a hallway like I said before, is mom and pop as you say, hell it's anyone, but no less a hazard.

Electricity doesn't care what your problems are or what you had for breakfast.

Wheaties or not...bam!...bad day.

Great thread idea. :cool:

Why ruin it with that first picture?

<Rant on>

To everyone.

This forum to a large extent is a representative of Mike Holt's business.

Would most of you place this picture ....

LOTOkit.jpg

... in your yellow page ad, business card or on the side of your truck next to your name?

All I am saying is treat this place as you would your own business.

<Rant off>

That IS my yellow page ad !!!!

Let's get one more thing clear, the moderators are also members and can voice their opinions as such.

I will also point out that pictures that are relevant to a topic and have an educational or clarification purpose are not the pictures being discussed here

Roger
Roger how difficult would it be to make a thread for photos some like it and some dont so why not create a photo thread and put this dog to bed.

This has been discussed.

:D :D For goodness sakes.....We had a thread about wirenuts and electrical tape that went to like 30 + pages if I recall correctly and now someones upset because the "What's in your wallet" guy showed up.:grin: Anyway, considering the fact that when we're in the field working on electrical issues its nice to have the opportunity to get a good laugh once in awhile we I log in. Lifes too short and full of worries so relax:grin:

OMG it grows faster then I can type and it is not even on issue..but thats okay sometimes..humor is necessary for the soul..

We have valve locks plus all the listed stuff..we also have cylinder locks..now here they will not allow the cable lock..if it has a handle on it it must have it own locking mechanism..so we have several lock boxes..

I agree it's nice to get a good laugh once in awhile too, but (not to pick on this thread in particular) constant silliness does get old, and does nothing to help the image of a professional forum.

Bill, I would agree, even though I'm guilty of clowning some myself. What kind of rubbed me wrong was invoking Mike Holt's name.

If you ("you" in general, not specifically you, Bill) want to make the site more professional by cutting down on the silliness, fine, it makes sense.

If you want to invoke Mike's name and talk about how it is a reflection on him, then where is all the outrage over the foul language used on this site? "*"s don't do such a great job most of the time and you should be able to find alternative words anyway. I'm sure this filth would be just as offensive, if not more, to Mike as he seems to be a man of high moral character.

It just seems a little strange to crack down on some jokes when the foul language is no less unprofessional. Would you do that in a professional workplace?

Perhaps we have become numb to it in this day and age and like to look down from our lofty perches and claim some higher standard on one hand but ignore the other.

I have seen many posts cleaned up by the moderators, and I'm certainly thankful for that, but there are many times the language is overlooked. You know the moderators have seen it because they are responding to some of the posts.

If you are going to clean house, then don't just sweep half the floor 'cause you are only going to track dirt back on the clean part.

Please don't take this as jab at moderators.

Sorry about the rant, I guess I'm just more offended by the bad language than the humor.
