Oh sure, ask me that will I am laying in bed with my books out in the truck.

You mean ::gasp:: you don't have a copy on the nightstand ????

It's 210.52(F) in the '05 (does this change everything ~ LOL ) ...and the NFPA site won't let me open the '08

Didn't know we had to.

And now that you mention it, the Cow hasn't chimed in on this one. The dog & goat have, but no cow.
The cow is present and accounted for and has to get to a job now but I will be back later with code books in tow.

From the 2005:

210.52 Dwelling Unit Receptacle Outlets
(A) General Provisions
(B) Small Appliances
(C) Countertops
(D) Bathrooms
(E) Outdoor Outlets
(F) Laundry Areas
(G) Basements and Garages
(H) Hallways

I got on the '08 last night. Maybe it's cause I use the free one, not the pay for code one. ;)

Wait, I just tried, and now I can't.

210.52 ('08) talks about 125V receptacles, not 120V.

Well, 210.11(C)(2)('08) says the receptacle serves the laundry. Unless you have a "laundry area" on a different floor, I don't see the AHJ allowing it, but it is the AHJ call.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get some plywood to replace a warped subfloor.

I would say the key word is "Laundry room" (In the question). Don't all "Laundry rooms" require a 20A recept? I think so:smile:
