Those small wirenuts included with light fixtures.........how many millions of those end up in the landfills every year? They are totally useless

I hate pre-made KOs in anything other then a residential load center and J-boxes smaller then 6"x6".
Even 4 squares, Bob?
I may not have been clear, any J-box larger then a 4 11/16" box I would rather make my own holes.
It seemed pretty clear to me. Maybe that's because I completely agree that 6 X 6 and larger, or trough, punch your own holes where they're actually needed. Usually when I'm forced to use a box or trough with factory KO's I will not use any of them and punch the holes in front of them.
They're a mixed blessing to me. For example, I'm glad I didn't have to punch all of these, but I did need a few pairs of reducing washers, because of the 3/4" smallest concentrics at some holes:Same here, I would rather punch a new 1/2" KO then use the 1/2" size in a concentric KO.

It looks great.
Me, I would made my own holes on one side only. I don't like cables entered into concentric KOs and I don't like control boxes with conductors coming in from all directions. (Not faulting anyone that does, just my preference)
I like this particular step bit for making fast & clean 1/2" KOs.
i learned real quick never drill with a unibit through metal above your head or arms
i hate the feeling of hot metal on my arms. sometimes i drill a small hole and use a slugbuster for larger than 1/2 inch just to cut the pain down

That could be expanded to 'Apprentice & single digit JW' - "What about we do it this way..." Mark - "Neat idea but a violation of this or that..." 'Apprentice & single digit JW' - "But.... Why.... - But...." Mark - "Just do it!"From my long list of "Pet-Peeves." Customer, "I want you to install X like this."
Me,"That will be a violation of Art. xxx and xxx, I think we should do it this
way and make it compliant and safe. Customer, "It will be OK there's no
inspection and no one will see it anyway,it will be fine." Karl= 25 years
of electrical training and experience , Customer= 0 years of electrical
training and experience. Karl thinking, " I really hate this guy!."
