Three ways, the debate

What I have always wondered is,, has the government done a multi million dollar study yet to find out if you actually get more wet running in to raindrops when you run or raindrops falling on your head when you walk. :p
When I was in High School we did an experiment in physics class on this. Our instructor lived about a block away from the school and wanted us to find out if he would be drier walking or running to work/home when it is raining. We took some big sheets of paper out in the rain and walked with some, ran with others. Our test results were that it didn't seem to matter very much - so he could walk or run, depending on his mood at the time and would likely be about the same wetness level.

Once you get used to it, not noticed at all.
My house is about 12 years old. All white devices and cover plates - though some of the receptacles that get UV exposure are definitely more yellowish then the plates that once were all the same color. A little surprised the wife hasn't made me change them yet.

Almond and light almond is the curse of all device colors. It's extremely uncommon in my area. I have never seen it installed in any of the homes I've worked in and I've only installed it once by request over 10 years ago.

Some condos from the 80s have (had) them around here  Not even with age where everything yellows or greys do they mach.

Had one guy tell us he wanted all brown.....

And his reasoning was that lighter colored devices/plates tended to get "dirtier" looking.

Who installs one right-side up and one up-side down so that both switches can be in the off position when they are both in the "off" position?

Frack I knew this was coming. I had an engineer pay me to do this in his house. I assured him it wouldn't work. Because after switching them a few times it would be both up for off as well. He had me do it anyway then accused me later that night of breaking into his home and changing them back.

Almond? It didn't exist as a color choice in the 80's. It was almost all ivory back then.

Might have been ivory then. The colors look almost identical to me. But looking at those same switches today they seem to have yellowed quite a bit in hue.
