I'll agree that Masonite siding is awful. Not familiar with Cladwood.
I'll take hardboard siding over vinyl any day, but Cladwood is garbage, I was being cheap & bought some for my shop regretted it right away it was eventually replaced with rough sawn fir plywood siding, pretty sure Cladwood was withdrawn from the market, was searching for info a few years ago and a lot of stories came out about class action lawsuits came up, in my case though it was spending a dollar to save a dime.

I finished the grounding and scheduled the inspection. It used to be the next day unless they were unusually busy. Mine is scheduled for next Friday.

Meanwhile, there were markings on the wires, but nothing I recognize as a wire type, only a date:

Well, the inspector came, looked at my work, saw the rods and the #4 water GEC.

Nothing was mentioned about whether the conductors were individually marked.

His only concern was the bush you can see in the OP infringing on the workspace.

So, it passed as I knew it would, and I received and forwarded the OK to energize.

I got a better picture of the conductor marking. It's only a date and some number.

Because we like our breakers inside where the rain/snow/sleet/salt do not corrode them!
That makes good sense !
Also, before you purchase a house anywhere except the Southwest part of the US, the first question you should ask ... Has this house been underwater ?

Flood maps are available and should be checked before potential real estate purchases. That is also when the Federal Flood Insurance program kicks in. 99.99% of the houses have never had water intrusion from a flood. You just see the ones on TV because they make the news, just like we think every house in California is going to burn down or wash away in a mud slide, unless damaged by an earthquake first. :ROFLMAO:
